We love our community and are actively involved in making it a better place to live.
We care for the homeless in West Orange County through our partnership with Matthew’s Hope. Join us as we serve food, provide shelter, supply clothing, offer hope, minister to children, and raise awareness for those who are struggling to survive the ills of homelessness.
We help feed the hungry and disadvantaged throughout our community in partnership with Bread of Life Ministries. Throughout the year and particularly around the holidays, join us as we pack and deliver food. In 2014 alone, we had a hand in packing over 5,000 boxes of food for families.
Through our partnership with the Ocoee Police Department, we’ve made a tremendous impact in our community. Hosting the annual Kicks for Guns, we’ve seen hundreds of guns come off the streets. Hosting the Teen Police Academy, we’ve impacted teenagers exploring a career in law enforcement. We’ve worked to create awareness of the dangers of drugs and alcohol abuse by supporting the OPD D.A.R.E. program. And serving as a chaplain for the department, we directly serve and encourage the officers who are taking care of our community.
Because we love children and want to see them flourish, we have our own Cub Scout Pack. Ocoee Pack 217 meets every Thursday evening and is blessing and impacting boys and their families, by instilling in them honor, courage, service, and morality.
Through our EZRA PROJECT, we’ve been able to directly improve our community by building playgrounds, removing graffitti, fixing up schools, and supporting families who need home repairs or projects done.
Here is the bottom line...God has placed us in the community to be a blessing to it and to make it a better place for all of its residents. If you are looking for a church that exists beyond a Sunday morning worship service, then HighPoint is for you.
